Saturday, 14 May | 12. p.m.
Our new temporary exhibition dedicated to the artists Norah Borges and Gertrudis Chale will open on Saturday 14 May. These 23 pieces illustrate their artistic careers after their time in Argentina, with paintings in oils, tempera and watercolour as well as graphic works.
The exhibition, entitled Destination Argentina. Borges and Chale, female artists in the avant-garde, brings together the artists Norah Borges and Gertrudis Chale, with two very different views of mid-20th-century Argentina. These two women’s travels and fascination with the world strongly influenced their work, while leaving their mark on the avant-garde panorama of the different countries where they settled.
The opening event of the exhibition will begin at 12 noon, with the presentation of the exhibition by the director of the Ralli Marbella Museum and a dance performance entitled Identidades (“Identities”) by the dance troupe Elementas.
Free entrance with limited capacity.
